Have We Reached Peak Vinyl?

Vinyl records have had an almost decade long comeback, with hipsters around the world buying records to feel more retro. With tons of money, time and effort sunken into fetishizing a format that doesn’t necessarily have any benefits, is the vinyl bubble about to burst?

Rolex GMT Master II Ceramic – 116710LN with box & card

For sale is a Rolex GMT Master II reference 116710LN with ceramic bezel. Warranty card is AD stamped and dated 2009. The watch is in near mint condition, I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves on that! It’s also keeping amazing time, I last set it 8 days ago and it’s currently at just about -5 seconds, so it’s running better than -1 second per day. I’m just selling because I think I’d like to go to a 116713 instead, unless you have one of those you’d like to trade with cash from me, this is SALE ONLY. I’m looking for $6300 shipped in the CONUS, via wire or PayPal plus fees. I will ship internationally, with additional shipping cost to be worked out with the buyer, but international will be bank wire only. I have some feedback on here from recent sales to some longstanding members, but have much more on WUS under JoeRogan and can confirm that’s me however you’d like. Please contact me if interested!

Note that in pictures 1, 6, and 7 it looks like there’s a mark on the 11 o’clock lug and mark across the polished part of the end link. Those are just dust/smudges, I double checked and there’s nothing in either spot.

(C) Fat Wallet(C) Fat Wallet

NASA/Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory/Southwest Research Institute

NASA/Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory/Southwest Research Institute

If the Moon were one pixel in size

One pixel moon

Somehow these space-in-perspective graphics and interactives never get old. I guess the size of space is just that mind-blowing. In the latest addition to the collection, Josh Worth imagines the moon as one pixel for size and from there provides “a tediously accurate scale model of the Solar System.”

It’s a long side-scrolling page that starts at the sun and works its way out to Pluto. You can scroll manually with your mouse, or you can sit back and let it go at the relative speed of light (something to do while waiting for New Horizons images to get here). If you’re impatient, use the icons at the top of the page to quickly navigate to the planets.
